FROM THE PASTOR

Home Improvement Project

In an effort to do some much needed improvements, we are launching the Home Improvement project.  There are 2 ways to get involved.

First, we need your financial help for 2 vital projects.  The wood front doors received new locks and safety mechanisms.  The Sunday school floor needs a new air conditioner that cools the chapel, the Worship and Wonder room and the men’s and women’s classrooms.  We need $15,000 for these improvements – we have $3000 pledged or received for this fund.  We are asking for your special giving to this Home Improvement Fund now through the end of the year.  You can write in the memo of your check or online gift “Home Improvement.”

Second, there is a list of home improvement projects that need done.  There is work for everyone regardless of skill and ability.  Let Pastor Tracy know which project you want to complete and what supplies you need.  The list will be posted in the sanctuary or you may have received it via mail / email.  If you’d like another copy, please contact the office so we can email you another copy.  You can work on these projects at your convenience or we will have a “work day” on Sunday November 7th after church.

Pastor Tracy

First Christian Church will be providing the meal for our neighbors on Saturday October 30th.  Please call or email Sheri if you would like to help assemble the carryout bags.  We ask that you arrive at 4:30 and we are usually finished by 6:15.  Thanks for your consideration in assisting with this important ministry.
